Overview
About Me
I am a mad scientist who is looking for the Mother of our present universe. In my Ph.D dissertation I proposed a whole new way to examine this fancy idea by using current and future astronomical observations. In addition to academic research, I love to gaze the night sky alone. For this reason I stayed at the Big Island Hawaii for several monthes as an operator of observatory. It is an excellent place for every stargazers and I was so lucky that I had opportunities to visit there when I was young. The next places I would like to go for perfect dark sky are Atacama in Chile and Antartica. There are also many top observatories that I might corporate with in the future.
I love mountain as well. When I was free I usually hiked suburban mountains around the city. I also reached some famous mountain peaks such as Mount Fuji in Japan, Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea in Hawaii, Mount Snow in Taiwan, etc.. My goals of hiking / trekking in the near future are Mount Blanc, Elbrus, and Kilimanjaro. When I walk into mountains I feel disconnected with urban life so that I can calm down my mind and explore myself deeper and deeper inside.
I have travelled to (maybe not) a lot of countries as well. Basically there are two groups of them. The first kind of countries is that many people lives in a very simple way. I like to experience those feelings of past (compared to my own country), say, riding a motorcycle on rocky roads or making traditional spring rolls in a small village fulled with rice fields. Another kind of countries is that large scales of elegant historic relics are well-maintained. People live in so-call old towns like they used to be in the early centuries. I was touched a lot when I placed myself in such space and time. I wrote a number of articles (unfortunately in Chinese) about these experiences and I am certainly happy to have an oppotunity to tell you all of these!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The main reason I'm on Couchsurfing recently is that I plan to visit U.K. on November this year with very limited budget. To meet the purpose of Couchsurfing, I am definitely glad to share / exchange my own stories about life and travel as well as the cultures of my home country to the hosts. I can also, of course, share my fancy research about the Mother of universe if anyone is interested in. But don't ask me if I believe there are Aliens or not (just kidding lol).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walking alone at 3am on the dry lava to find flowing lava. I still remember the clear sky suddenly filled with clouds and turned to super heavy rain very quickly. Under this situation I had to protect my light (for safty), cell phone (for finding help), and camera. Finally I walked back to my car with all clothes totally wet.
