ABOUT ME

About me: well of course I love to travel! I only have a few countries under my belt -> my dream is to visit as many places as possible... Whenever I hear someone tell me about a place I get so excited and envious and just want to get to the place they are talking about immediately!

Within traveling, I love experiencing local life, learning and joining in.

I picked up an odd habit of playing chess in Pokhara, Nepal.

I love taking up challenges, this years challenge was getting to Everest base camp. Now I have done that I want more! My new challenge is to cycle from Home to Rome and couch surfing as much as possible. :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Getting to 5545m up and gazing across at Mt Everest felt amazing.

Traveling on train in India, unreserved ticket, for 10 hours through the night. Train so packed had to stand in corridor, eventually lots of people got off. I fell asleep sitting and leaning against wall. I then woke up half an hour later on the floor with about 5 men using my bag/body as a head rest!

Love rides on rooftops of buses, Nepal was so good for that!
