About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find work as tourist guide which isn't easy now.

ABOUT ME

I'm a qualified tour guide and English teacher. I live in Bologna. My son is half West African and called Adam, he-s a beautiful mix and very tall I'm also a mix of many cultures. I wouldn't really want to host anyone bigoted, like republicans.

PHILOSOPHY

Anticapitalista, this means I'm communist, but l don't eat children ;). Mustn't wear my heart on my sleeve in Italia. Here you always have to be careful what you say and with what you wear. I try to treat everyone with courtesy and respect, and I expect people to treat me the same.

I try not to read Italian newspapers otherwise I just burst into tears.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can be your guide, especially if you correct my Spanish, French and Italian.
I can put people up, if I'm around and go for a coffee. When I go to visit the monuments in Emilia Romagna I always ask csers to meet me for a coffee, and they always respond. This is how I use csing.
I'm only putting people up who read my profile and state we have something in common, and write me a more personal message, otherwise I may not answer you. If you don't write my name, then........

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Been for some coffees with surfers when I was in Oxford, and Bologna, and Lecce. I have put up many people. We have also been hosted.
What I don't like are people who write to me and tell me only about themselves and what they want. Sorry, but I don't have time for these people. I like people who like to give as well as receive and it seems to me alot of young people only like to take and find it astonishing that they should have to even consider giving. I'm always willing to give people like that directions to an expensive hotel who will be willing to take their money. Life is a two way street of give and take, so don't take the mickey out of peoples' kindness. I have hosted many people now, also I've hosted on Hospitality club and belodged, and I've noticed that some people are just used to having things done for them, and I don't like hosting these people.
