About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to surprise myself
ABOUT ME
Just a guy trying to constantly find himself in the middle. Not the middle of attention, but the in-between on the borderline of all that interests me - music, philosophy, architecture, theory, literature - and all that defines me - a random rationalist, relentless cynic, cultivator of emotions, insatiable hedonist when it comes to enjoying life with friends, i love the question mark more than the exclamation mark, doubt more than opinions, my personality always followed by an elipsis ....
PHILOSOPHY
putting yourself in situations where you dont know how you will react will make you reinvent and surprise yourself - or as Italo Calvino put it:
'The ideal place for me is the one in which it is most natural to live as a foreigner.'
Interests
writing music, reading, philosophy, architecture and architecture theory, writing, meeting friends, eating food, listening to new music, cooking, enjoying nature and the small surprises in life, but not particularly in this order
- writing
- literature
- architecture
- dining
- cooking
- reading
- music
- hiking
- rock climbing
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: anything by Cortazar, Llosa, Kafka, Chatwin, Neruda, Derrida, Kundera, Deleuze,....
I basically love anything (and anyone) that is pure and passionate in its own way - for music this ranges from pogressive rock (Porcupine Tree, Lunatic Soul, Pink floyd), classical (Stravinsky, Steve reich, John Cage)to electronic (Autechre, Murcof, The album Leaf, Archive), minimalism and ambient and piano stuff (Eno, Wim Mertens, Keith Jarrett) as well as tango, jazz, and anything in between that expresses the right moods...(ahh...the list is endless) Oh yeah, and my own music of course :)
Movies, too much to mention: The piano tuner of earthquakes, anything by David Lynch, The Quay Brothers, Jan Svankmajer, Rybczynski, Tarkovsky, Julio Medem or Pedro Almodovar, Wim Wenders, or just stuff like Crash, Memento, the Fountain, Pi....
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbing 6088m Huayna Potosi, jumping out of an airplane somewhere above Cordoba attached to a big plastic handkerchief, hiking alone in Patagonian Andes, all of these are amazing, but what counts most is the amazing people I met along the way that have become dear friends...
Countries I’ve Visited
Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Finland, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Peru, Switzerland, Turkey
