Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm happy to host and have interesting surfers over at our place in Vienna! We currently have an apartment in Dobling, Vienna with a very small share bed for other Couchsurfers.

I also want to surf around the world. I'm new to Couchsurfing and my limited experience has been amazing. I really love the idea of sharing knowledge and experiences and want to grow my understanding of other cultures. Seams to me that Couchsurfing is the perfect way to see the world!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We stayed with a really great family in Zurich which made me have confidence in this community. At first I was sceptical but after trying it I think it's great. My experience still is very low but I hope that doesn't affect my chances of having the opportunity to experience more in the future.

Interests

I love to be outdoors. I enjoy hiking in the mountains with fresh air. I love to be on the water canoeing or kayaking. I'm a big fan of history and very curious. There's not much more I enjoy than reading a good book with a cup of tea.

I love to eat! My dad is a michelin star chef and I grew up learning to cook and have a real appreciation for food! My brother is a baker and my sister is also a foodie.

And of course, adventures! I love to collect moments, not things. To me, life is all about the memories you make.

I love board games! I made a custom crib board for my boyfriend that I am very proud of that we have brought on this trip.

Movies:

I love old Disney and Pixar movies!

I'm a fan documentaries. Blackfish, The Cove, 20 Feet From Stardom, The Cove, Food Inc.

Any movie with history and education behind it. I enjoy movies that are based on someone's real life journey's.

Books:

Pillars of the Earth, Name of the Wind, Sabriel, Born to Run, Hardwiring Happiness, East of Eden, A Wise Man's Fear.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed to the top of black tusk, Garibaldi Mountain, Canada.

7 day kayak trip, Tofino, B.C.

Snowshoed the Swiss Alps

Canoe trip to little main lake, Quadra Island.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm happy to teach anything that I'm able to. I always happy to share my cooking knowledge and make a meal with someone. I love to be in the kitchen and feel that is a great time to socialize. I'm happy to share books and knowledge of good reads with interested people.

I want to learn to learn other peoples life philosophies and continue to grow as a person. I want to learn different culture disses and different cultural pastimes.
