Hi guys! My name is Lucy, I'm a 21 year old Aussie and I'm new to couch surfing :)

I believe in the power of the secret and positive thinking - change the way you think and you change your life.

Travel is so important to me, meeting new friends all over the world is what I live for! Hopefully if I'm lucky enough to stay with any of you guys we will be able to make some new wonderful memories together! :) :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For the past four years, I have been travelling overseas and meeting new people! I have made lifelong friends and met some of the most incredible, kindhearted people and I want to continue to do so, that's why I'm on Couchsurfing!

I'm currently travelling Europe solo, and as much as I enjoy solo travel it is always nice to share the experience with another person. I'm not just looking for a place to stay, it would be wonderful if you have spare time to share a cup of tea with me or pizza to share stories etc together :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

12 months volunteering abroad :)

I volunteered in a gifted high school in Phan Tiet, Vietnam for five months in 2014.

In 2015, I volunteered at Steenberg Primary School in South Africa for four months. I was placed in the special education department working with children that were classified "at risk" of never being able to read or write in their lifetime. By the end of my four months, I had taught the children to write full page creative stories.

In 2016 I volunteered in Merida, Mexico for 3 months. I ran two summer camps with children that had been rescued from abusive family situations. I then went on to work in a young adolescent boys rescue centre.
