About Me

Hi! I'm a medical student, soon to be doctor (hopefully!). I love to travel although haven't been able to do so much... until now! I hope to travel as much of the world as possible. I love trying new things and meeting people. I'm friendly and outgoing. I enjoy trying new things, having adventures, and spending time with friends and family.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was introduced to couchsurfing by an avid user who highly recommended the site, and I was immediately interested. While I'm travelling I would love to meet people and get immersed in the culture of where I visit, hopefully making new friends and having amazing experiences with people.
I would also like to host guests although this may not be possible for a few months at least, due to travelling and my housing situation.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love music! I play the flute and piano, I'm learning the guitar (sort of) and I love to sing. I like lots of kinds of music including indie, pop, musical theatre, classical (if I'm in the right mood), world music. My favourite song/artist changes fairly regularly, at the moment I like Sara Bareilles.
Films: I like most kinds of movies including action, science-fiction, comedy/romantic comedy.
Books: I love reading. If a book is good I'll read it, no matter what the genre - all the way from chick lit to thrillers to action to biographies. When I was young and choosing a book from the library I used to sit trying to read all the interesting books I'd found - my mum would try and tell me I'm supposed to check the book out to read it and I'd explain - yes mum I know but how am I supposed to choose which one if I haven't read it? I can spend hours in a good second hand shop choosing... usually too many books!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've had a few experiences that were amazing to me, at least. I like to pause and take stock and realise - hey, this moment is really cool... remember it!!
I danced as a 'professional' dancer in my university's dance show (our very own version of Strictly Come Dancing!) I was pretty proud to get second place having taught an initially reluctant cricketer to dance, and choreographed two routines. My favourite was a paso doble to the theme tune to Pirates of the Caribbean!

Teach, Learn, Share

I really enjoy learning and also sharing what I know, if people are interested! I also love a philosophical conversation every now and again.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to share adventures with you and learn about your culture, sharing mine as well if you'd like!
Also, I really like photography! If my camera is handy and you want some pics I'd love to take them for you!
