I want to share about my hometown North Sulawesi Province.

North Sulawesi Province is located at the northern tip of the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. North Sulawesi is divided into 11 regencies and 4 cities.

1. MANADO CITY
Manado city is the capital of North Sulawesi province. The city of Manado is located along Manado Bay, and the area is flat and hilly. Manado city offers several attractions such as :
- Monument to the Statue of the Lord Jesus blessing. It is located on the Trans Sulawesi Ring Road, Manado. The location is in the Citraland luxury housing complex, 15 minutes from the center of Manado City.
- Manado Centrum Church.
This church is located in Lawangirung Village, Wenang District, Manado City. According to history, this church was founded in 1677. This church is a building left over from the Dutch colonial period and is the oldest church in Manado.
- Malalayang Beach Walk. In this area we can enjoy the black sand Malalayang beach, you can dive or walk or jog with a backdrop of views of Bunaken and Manado Tua islands.
- God Bless Park. It is one of the icons of Manado City. Located on Jalan Piere Tendean, North Sario, Sario District, Manado City.
- Ban Hin Kiong. It is a Taoist temple at Jl. D.I. Panjaitan, Manado. It is the oldest temple in the city of Manado. There is a food bazaar every night in the area near the temple.
- Megamas business area. In this area there are several culinary places, shopping centers such as megamall and Manado Trade Center, clubs, karaoke places, fitness, hotels. - Bunaken Island
This island is part of the city of Manado, the capital of the province of North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Bunaken Island can be reached by speed boat or rented boat with a trip of about 30 minutes from the port of the city of Manado. Around the island of Bunaken there is the Bunaken marine park which is part of the Bunaken National Park. This marine park has one of the highest marine biodiversity in the world. 
- Siladen Island
Siladen Island is around 8 miles from the city center which can be reached in 45 minutes by motor boat. This island is surrounded by white sand beaches and the sea contains coral reefs with marine life of various shapes and colors, thus forming a quite beautiful marine park. The beauty of the marine park around Siladen Island can be seen at locations called Siladen 1 and Siladen 2. To get to Siladen Island, you can reach by public transportation boat. This boat only crosses once a day. And you can also use a speedboat which can be chartered but is a bit expensive.
- Manado Tua Island
Manado Tua Island can be reached by motor boat in about an hour or about 10 miles from Manado City.

Not only Bunaken Island, Manado Tua Island also has stunning underwater charm and natural beauty. Manado Tua Island has its own uniqueness, namely that it is a mountain-shaped landmass that stands firmly at an altitude of 655 meters above sea level.

Uniquely, the peak of the island is not a volcano. However, there is another uniqueness that this island keeps. Here are the uniquenesses of Manado Tua.

1. Undersea volcano

Manado Tua Island, which has mountain-shaped land, is not a volcano. However, under the sea of ​​this island there is a volcano that is still active. This mountain is at a depth of 150 meters with a slope of 5 to 30 meters. This mountain is divided by a coral wall with a depth of 25 to 40 meters to the sea floor. Apart from that, there is also a large cave around the mountain. You can see this beauty when diving.

3. Related to the Bowontehu Tribe
Apart from having a perfect marine park and rich marine life, Manado Tua Island also has a history related to the existence of the Bowontehu Tribe. According to historical records, this tribe existed on Manado Tua Island around 1623. In the past, Manado Tua Island was inhabited by the Bowontehu Tribe. The island is known as Manarow and is home to the people of the Old Sangir Ethnicity.

Not only can you enjoy the charm of the underwater world by diving, here visitors can also do other interesting activities, such as snorkeling, sun bathing or sunbathing, riding a boat, playing jet skiing, and exercising. The sports that are generally done on this island are varied, from jogging to cycling. Apart from these activities, this island is also a suitable location for hunting for beautiful sunsets.

Not only enjoying the natural tourism, you can also take a historical tour while on Manado Tua Island. The reason is, there is a large mountain here which is called Mount Manado Tua by local residents. This area is still rarely explored by many people, but the top of this mountain has historical heritage that is no less important. At the top of Mount Manado Tua there are three monuments which according to several sources are markers of the tombs of the Bawontehu kings. There are several important figures buried on the mountain, including King Mokodkedug, Wulrangkalrangi, and Mokodompis. Apart from these three figures, it is reported that there are also other kings buried in this area.

7. The potential of Manado Tua Island
Apart from marine potential, this island also has other potential that is no less interesting. These include protected forests, Burial King Mokodokettk, King Kokodompis, King Wulangkalangi, and Raja Beach (Apeng Datu). Apart from that, there is also the Vice King's Palace Beach (Apeng Gugu), Apeng Salah Beach, Batu Layar (Batu Senggo), Batu Kadera, Batu resting place (Pangilolong), and Bua Alo. Currently, Bua Alo is the capital of the Manado Tua Dua subdistrict, namely Bualo.

- Manado is also being famous for its beverage namely Cap Tikus. Cap Tikus is a type of liquid with high alcohol content on average 40 to 70 percent. Based on the data existing, in North Sulawesi, there is about 62.421 hectares of land, where Seho tree was used as a raw material for Liquor “Cap Tikus”. We can find it at House of Cap Tikus 1978.
