About Me

I am an American woman with Peruvian ethnicity. Many people say I look Indian and I sure love the culture (especially the food!) however I am of Latin dissent (: In 2016 I graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor's degree in International Relations. I live to serve others , I have been involved with nonprofits for several years now and the industry is my passion. I also run a coaching business where I focus in the areas of personal development and wealth management. I love to travel and I really enjoy meeting people from all over the globe. I am a very adventurous and out going person, I am always ready to take on something new. I love wandering in new cities and taking advice from locals on activities I should do in cities I am visiting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was first introduced to couchsurfing during my backpacking trip in Northern Europe. I had such a great time getting to know my host that I thought it would be great to use in my future travels. My boyfriend and I did a cross county traveling for two months in the summer of 2016. We came from NY to CA and I suggested we use couchsurfing. We had only incredible times with incredible people. From there, we have hosted ourselves in LA since we felt it was just right to do the same for others. We used couchsurfing again for our move back to NY in 2018, we took 6 weeks and traveled through the US to different states. We wish we could host in NY but our landlord does not allow it for the time being :(

We have met and became close friends with people from all sorts of corners of the earth. It is almost like traveling while staying home! I also think the best way to get to know a city to the core is through a local. Therefore, couchsurfing seems to be the best way to make that happen! It allows us to get close with all kinds of interesting people, get educated on our surroundings, and simply learn from one another.

NOTE: I have my own air mattress if needed!

Music, Movies, and Books

It depends on my mood, I love blues rock, classic rock, alternative rock, EDM, jazz, R&B, reggae, the list goes on!

However, most of what I listen to is new to me, I love exploring new music, albums and sounds.

My guilty pleasure are movies that have to do with time travel so my favorites include the Back to the Future series, Terminator series, and Looper. I also love movies with twist endings such as The Illusionist, Shutter Island, Inception, and The Butterfly Effect.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have backpacked around Europe solo. Definitely one of the best decisions I've ever made. Met the coolest people from all over the globe while sharing amazing memories!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook, both my boyfriend and I like to try and make dishes from all over the world. I also enjoy trying new dishes, so you are welcome to cook in our home if you wish. If we are staying in your home, then we can cook for you as well!

We can give you some advice on what to check out in Los Angeles, we lived there for about 2 years. Same with NYC now that we have lived in Brooklyn for 3 years.

If you are considering traveling cross country, we did two 6 week cross country trips ourselves going through the south and the north so we can give some recommendations on what to see.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We are very easy going people so we will not be a bother in your home. We love getting to know other people and making new friends wherever we go. While getting to know you, we can make you delicious meals, share great memories and our past traveling experiences!
