SCRATCH THE BELOW - I went to Crete and now I'm living in Thessaloniki for a while!

I work as a non-fiction book editor in London, but am leaving that behind for the summer to study Greek in Crete. Who know's what will happen after that! I have been going to Crete for my whole life and love Greece so I want to learn more about the country and improve my terrible Greek skills.

I have travelled before - 2.5 months round Eastern Europe and into Russia before I started uni - but this is my first time on Couchsurfing. So far, seems fun!

I think I'm pretty easy to get along with, and have a good sense of humour. I might be a bit shy at first but that disappears relatively quickly...!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the fact that there is a whole community of people who want to help others explore the world, and to offer help and friendship too when they can.

Interests

I am very interested in food, good restaurants (fancy and not fancy!), history, reading, films, music.....not really a massive sports person but I like to walk, hike, cycle, horse ride. I can happily walk around a city or mountains for days and not get bored!

I like going out to pubs and bars and good nightlife too – most interested in house, dnb, good electronic music but can enjoy *most* things.
