Hi!

**CURRENTLY TRAVELLING**
My name is Lucy and my boyfriends name is Dan. We have been travelling for around 10 month. We have been working in Australia for the past 8 month and are due to leave to travel South East Asia woohoo!

We are a chatty (especially me!) couple who love to learn and see new places and things.

Coming travelling is the best thing we have and will ever do

I am a home-bird so it wasn't a surprise when I started crying at everything - happy adverts the lot! But Skype and FaceTime with my only sister helps!

And yes ... We are Geordies- so naturally we are very pleasant, outgoing and high on life! ...even if we doing talk a little 'funny!' I'm sure you'll learn to understand though :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

well... As you've probably guessed we are in the best position as we are In the thick of our travels ...and what best way to learn about the county than to stay with locals- that's why we registered with CouchSurfing! Can't wait for our first Couchsurfing experience in BKK with Um :)

We really enjoy meeting people and since starting our travels - it's intensified!

We want to learn about the people, learn the language ( well phrases! :) and get to see all the real places that we would never have found!

Interests

Art, architecture, drawing , learning new things and skills, pushing myself to do things I've never tried before , FAMILY (big deal for us both- both our family's are crackers and love a party! .....and obviously new cultures and travel now :)

Dan is a little more 'geekish' ( I mean nice way though!)- currently studying IT Programming at degree level . Other interests include wAtching every film known to man practically and coming out with facts constantly! Dan loves leading new things and if he isn't sure about something he has to google it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Very eclectic mix for me- I was brought up with 80s, glam rock and a bit of Motown and soul...can't go wrong! Ha! We are both suckers for seeing live music/bands...doesn't matter what it is - as long as we can have a dance!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done is pack my bags and leave my family,friends, job, house, stability to see the world!
I've always worked hard back home but there was always something missing- I know it sounds slightly cliche but I'm completely where I want to be ...EVERYWHERE!

Teach, Learn, Share

Keen to learn different languages, foreign recipes, cultures, about people's lives .
We would be more than happy to coach English - that's if you don't mind having that northern English twang ;) ...it's actually been researched as the most friendly and trustworthy English accent so you will be sorted!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook!! My nana always said if you cook with love - it's always beautiful :) ....

We both have a dry sense of humour and whoever we meet , we always find some common ground!

We can give you 'a laugh' .... I'm sure after 1 or 2 beverages Dan can show you his party trick...the worm! It's currently made an appearance in ...North and southern England, Belgium, gran canaria, Thailand, Cairns, Sydney, Melbourne and Victoria.

Where next? Could be your local pub or front room!
