ABOUT ME

Ah - these sections are really hard to write!

Ok: Im a 24 year old recent graduate who does not know what to do with her life! I start many projects... then often get bored, and start a new one. This has resulted in my living in a very messy, yet I would like to say interesting, flat in the city centre of Manchester (my living room is full of half finished paintings, deconstructed/reconstructed furniture and magazine clippings that interest me). One thing that has stuck, though, is my passion to want to see the world. My friend and I have been planning a trip to America now for a few years... and have never gotten round to it (these new and exciting, overambitious projects have kept getting in the way!) but we finally booked our flights over around a month ago.

I love mushrooms, good wine (though the cheap stuff works equally well), blue moon beer, tattoos, the sunshine, running, dancing, scrabble... and Britney Spears (yes, I know).

Mostly though, I love meeting new people. Different views and experiences of the world fascinate me (not least because I feel my world/general knowledge leave a lot to be desired...along with my geography and sense of direction!) I'm a listener and prefer sitting back and hearing about other views of the world. But that doesn't mean I won't chip in occasionally with a blond comment, or even more occasionally with an intelligent and interesting one! Couchsurfing is a great way to hear and share stories and I can't imagine travelling a different way. It's the best way to experience a place, because it's the people that give the place personality.

Though I have surfed with a fellow friend on a trip to Ireland once. Now is the time to branch out and do it for myself!

Books: The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat (I recommend this book to anyone who hasnt read it - what a fascinating read), Twilight, The Universe According to Alex Woods, Charlotte Street.

Music: Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, The Sugababes.... Coldplay, Radiohead, Bon Iver, D'Angelo.

Im an avid painter/drawer. I am overly creative and overly ambitious and love to get stuck in.

Im a hands-on person and I will try my hand at anything creative - and will love it. From hair braids to life drawing, furniture restoration to tattoo design, if it's creative, then i'm sold. I would love to share my passion for creation with anyone who is willing to listen... and would love even more to be taught more ways to expand my mind!

In return, I can teach you the lyrics to all of the songs that were big in the 90s. :)
