About Me
The people, languages and food are what I love about travelling.
I'm currently on an indefinite trip around the world (?!)... I left home in November 2023 and was in gorgeous Thailand for a couple of months, and now I'm all up in the snow in Europe visiting old friends, and making new ones.
I'm not sure where the next destination will be, but everywhere is a destination, so I'm going slow and enjoying calm energy.
I'm a devout vegetarian, but will have a smell of a meaty or fishy delicacy when the opportunity arises haha
I think the best part of travelling is just hanging out with other people - the greatest gift someone can give another is their time. I feel so blessed to be staying with old and new friends, and the conversations had over the first coffee of the day, to the last scoop of ice cream at night - staying with people means you get to have those incidental conversations, instead of just a contained time over a lunch or dinner (which is delightful too, but staying with people is just the best).
(Before I quit my jobs to come and explore) I am/was a social worker, a researcher, and taught at university. I'm a more fun way, I'm a cook, a yoga teacher, a meditator, and a law dork.
Dec 2023: I'm currently not hosting, as I am travelling around (and hoping to be hosted (!))
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My favourite thing is to be shown a city by one who loves it - if I'm hosting, I'll show you around! If I come to stay, I'd love it if you can show me around, show me your favourite areas, or give me some tips and I'll go it alone!
🌈❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
I'm not on CouchSurfing for hook ups - if you're looking for someone to hook up with, please don't contact me 😊

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my favourite artists office Dub Inc, The Cat Empire, Vieux Farka Touré.
I've been trying to see Dub Inc live for about 10 years, but I also end up being in the wrong place wrong time.
I'm currently reading "Overstory" and it's pretty good. Though the best thing I've read recently is "A Little Life" - highly highly recommend, though it's pretty heavy. Also anything by Christos Tsiolkos.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just being is pretty amazing
I watched a Grandmother hold her grandson in a train station a couple of months ago. There was so much tenderness in how she held him, that I had a little cry.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach learn and share food, drinks, music, walking, stories, I can do a guided meditation for you, or a yoga class :D
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll cook us spinach and ricotta gnocchi or a Thai omelette
