Overview
About Me
I am a 22 year old certified English teacher and costume designer.
I am planning on embarking on a low budget, eco-friendly round-the-world trip in 2019 where I hope to visit as many incredible places and meet as many interesting people as possible. I am looking to meet locals who can show me the hidden gems of the area and perhaps join me on an adventure or two! I am also very interested in learning new languages and always try and learn at least a few phrases before I visit somewhere new.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing combines budget-friendly travel with meeting new people, a perfect combination for me as a usually solo traveller! I am unfortunately not able to host at my own home as I still live with family but I hope to one day be able to host too.
Interests
I am very environmentally conscious and endeavour to lower my carbon footprint with every step. I am hoping to get involved in conservation, beach clean-ups and reforestation projects whilst on my travels as well as trying to walk, cycle and hitchhike whenever I am able.
I love to dance, though I'm not good at it! I love reading and binge watching Netflix, I enjoy bouldering, hiking, cycling and swimming and generally making the most of this beautiful world!

Music, Movies, and Books
I would say my taste in music is pretty eclectic! I'd say my favourite band is Queen, but I also love Bowie, The Smiths, The Black Keys, The Beatles, The Kinks, Ed Sheeran, The Rolling Stones and am partial to a bit of Taylor Swift (sorry, not sorry).
I love watching films and have an equally broad taste but I'm a big fan of superheroes (Avengers), Horror Comedies (Hot Fuzz) and lots of 80s films!
My all time favourite book is probably The Book Thief but I don't tend to stick to one genre, when it comes to books I like to read as many different types as possible, I try to read around 30 books a year but it does vary dramatically on how much free time I have.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'd probably have to say the two weeks I spent in South Africa in 2013, where I was able to skydive, swim with seals, shark cage dive and do one of the tallest bungee jumps in the world! I love trying new once in a life time things!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a certified TEFL (English as a foreign language) teacher and can give you some tips to improve your English but would also love to learn some new phrases and especially improve upon my French and Spanish. I am also a costume designer and maker so, if it ever came up I am able to do clothing repairs and teach you some sewing techniques.
What I Can Share with Hosts
English improvements, sewing techniques, a bad joke or two.
