Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Estoy viviendo en Gijón durante el curso de 2015-16 haciendo investigación para mi doctorado en antropología social. Llego aquí sin conocer a nadie, así que me gustaría quedar con gente que quiera tomar un café/ cerveza/ sidra, dar un paseo por la ciudad, salir a algún concierto/ al cine/ lo que sea! Soy inglesa pero hablo castellano, aunque no me importa hablar en inglés si queréis practicar!

I'm living in Gijón during the 2015-16 academic year, doing research for my social anthropology PhD. I've come here without knowing anyone, so it'd be great to meet people for a coffee/beer/cider, wander around the city, go to a concert/ the cinema/ whatever! I'm English but speak Spanish, though I don't mind speaking English if you want to practice!

Cuando no estoy leyendo (libros de antropología para mi trabajo, novelas por placer), me gusta bailar, comer, correr, caminar: las cosas buenas de la vida! Lo mejor, para mí, es tomar una cerveza con amigos, aunque también me encanta el cine, las exposiciones de arte, buena música electrónica/ jazz/ folk, ir a festivales, la política alternativa...

When not buried under books (anthropology for work, novels for pleasure), I like to dance, eat, drink, run: the good things in life that most people enjoy. I think when it comes down to it, the best thing in life is chatting over beers in a bar with friends. Well, OK, I also like cinema, art exhibitions, good electronic music, festivals, alternative politics...
