CURRENT MISSION

I work hard and play hard. I'm in the mountains as much as possible. And I canoe now, and bought a house so am a homebody sorta-- still get out, but not like I used to!

ABOUT ME

I am becoming an RN. Nursing school keeps me pretty busy, as does my 12 year old son, dog, and 2 cats. I am vice president of Tech's running club, and run about 20 miles a week.
Hurt my back Nov 2011 and had to stop running. I drink about 20 beers a week (no!) now instead! I am an RN, and a licensed foster parent. I am married now, and a grandma to an adorable baby boy born march 2012.
I still have the same dog and 2 cats, as well as 2 hampsters.

Devil spelled backwards is "lived".

Body, mind, and spirit have to mesh. So be well, do good work, and keep in touch!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

none thus far! Not formally, at any rate.
I have hosted lots, and surfed none. My other/more updated account is under code name Woopsadaisy or something like that.

Interests

Mountaineering, health, fitness, running, being real, having fun.
Still do this. Also I am into swiftwater rescue, canoe camping and river trails, as well as hanging wiht my now widowed mom and my son and his baby. My husband is my best friend.

Music, Movies, and Books

I watch movies, love music, and read occassionally. Mostly novels, in the summer.
This is still true. I sing a lot, to the baby, and just at work goofing around.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently, I got to see a semi go skidding off the Homestake Pass! It stradled the median and rode it the way skateboarders ride handrails! Quite a site!
It really was-- and they have fixed that median now-- made it taller.
One really cool thing I got to do recently was sail across the atlantic with my mom Jan 2012, and live for a month in Venice Italy with her.

Sometimes, a brain injury can work out well for a person!
I'm really into health and our bodies and being in our bodies on the planet! Amazing stuff!
The friend with the brain injury who wasn't a very nice man before the injury but became really a sweet lamb afterwards, I'm sad to say, has totally gone off the deep end with conspiracy theories and paranoia. I think he's probably schizo, maybe even before the injury.
Being in my body on the planet is still good, but now I also like to be in my brain and on the planet. I push myself less hard, and like to just take it easy and watch, and absorb, and enjoy.... :)
