About Me

🌍 Current Mission

To keep traveling with music in my backpack — sharing culture, mate, songs and laughter wherever the wind takes me. I’m at a point in life where I crave real experiences, meaningful connections, and the kind of moments that don’t fit in a photo but stay forever in the soul.

🎶 About Me

Hi! I’m Ludmila — but friends call me Lula or Lu. I'm a folk musician from Argentina, a nomadic soul with a deep love for simple things: a warm sunset, homemade soup, and unexpected late-night conversations that get philosophical out of nowhere.

I sing and play Andean instruments like the sikus, charango, quena, and guitar, blending traditional South American sounds with my own compositions. I'm currently producing my independent album De Ida — a mix of Argentine folklore, original songs, and native languages like Aymara.

I’ve traveled a lot solo and realized that when you're curious and respectful, you're never truly alone. I’m sensitive, joyful, a little poetic at times, and always up for learning something new. Also: I’m the type of person who laughs at terribly nerdy jokes (Les Luthiers fans, anyone?).

✨ Life Philosophy

I believe we’re here to share, grow, and — if we’re lucky — leave behind something beautiful: a song, a laugh, a memory.

Freedom is essential to me. Not the “running away” kind, but the conscious kind: the freedom to be fully myself. I value genuine connections, soulful conversations, and people who respect each other’s paths. To me, traveling isn’t just physical — it’s also emotional, cultural, and spiritual. Everyone you meet on the road is a mirror, a teacher, or a seed.

🤝 What I Can Share With Hosts

I can cook something healthy and tasty (gluten- and lactose-free, I promise!), play live music at your place, teach you some voice techniques or Andean instruments, or simply hang out and share stories over a cup of mate or a cold beer.

I’m clean, calm, respectful, and grateful to anyone who opens their doors. Oh — and if you have pets… fair warning: I might become their new best friend.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because the world feels bigger and warmer when we open our doors to strangers. I believe in the power of hospitality as a cultural exchange, not a transaction. I'm not looking for a free place — I'm looking for connection, and maybe even friendship.

Plus, I’ve had some of the best experiences of my life thanks to Couchsurfing: jamming with people I just met, cooking empanadas in foreign kitchens, and learning that kindness truly speaks every language.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
Folklore, tango, nueva canción, andes, chamamé.
A bit of classical and world fusion too.
As a musician I enjoy all music expressions.

Books: Poetry, myths, psychology and philosophy.

Movies:
Anything with music, soul, or a good plot twist.
Also: animation and sci-fi movies are my guilty pleasure 😄

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve played sikus in the middle of the Andes, with the wind howling like a choir.
I’ve sung in four different languages on the same song.
I crossed the Ocean with just my instruments and backpack, trusting the road (and the kindness of people).
I once got lost in the jungle and found the way back thanks to the sound of monkeys… but that’s a longer story.

Teach, Learn, Share

What can I teach?:
Singing and voice training (especially for beginners).
South American folk, history, rhythms and instruments.
Spanish with a thick Argentine accent 😄.

Learn:
Local recipes, music and traditions.
How people live and love in other cultures
Anything about sustainability or healing arts.
Your weirdest fun fact or best dad joke.

Share:
Music (live, spontaneous or planned!)
Conversations that feel like campfires
My nomadic stories, a mate ritual, and hopefully a good laugh.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Live music at home – I can sing for you, with you, or just fill the silence with some charango or guitar. Or just silence.

Voice lessons or music workshops – if you’ve ever wanted to sing better or explore your voice, I’m here.

Cooking something yummy and healthy – gluten- and lactose-free, full of flavor and made with love.

Stories from the road – the kind that make you laugh, wonder, or want to pack a bag.

A chill, clean, respectful guest who values your space and time.

Warmth, conversation, cultural exchange – from the Argentine mate tradition to folk legends and music from the Andes.

I can also help clean, organize or carry heavy things — I go to the gym and I’m proud of my squats 💪😄

And above all: my gratitude, my full presence, and a spirit of giving back whatever I can — whether it’s a melody, a meal, or just a good mood.
