Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Simplifying life, finding my (geographical) place in the world. Letting my intuition guide me.
ABOUT ME
I'll try... broad range of interests, inclination towards black humour, communicative but also calm, like to go with the flow of life (don't always succeed though..)
PHILOSOPHY
Trust people and they'll be true to you. Treat them greatly and they will show themselves to be great ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
The little things? The little moments? They aren't little ~ Jon Kabat Zinn
Find what you love and let it kill you ~ Charles Bukowski
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've met so many amazing people through couchsurfing and am very grateful for that! Started using it while travelling in Spain in 2011 and had such wonderful, unforgettable encounters ever since. People opening their doors to me, hosting others in my town Breda, or just meeting up for coffee, drinks, walk and/or chat.
Then during covid I had my profile deleted since I thought 'normal' travelling might never happen anymore and I didn't really feel the need either. Luckily for me, after covid (in desperate need of travelling again) I could restore my profile with all the contacts, messages, references and started using CS again.
Nothing beats this, not even hostels or airbnb, because here you can directly connect with locals and get to know places (partly at least) through their perspectives. And I can honestly say I made some friends for life through couchsurfing :-)
Places I've been hosted so far:
Barcelona, Alicante, Rome, Naples, London, Bristol, Hamburg, Ruhr Area, Frankfurt, Liège, Arnhem, Leipzig, Dresden, Prague, Glasgow, Inverness, Birmingham, Brussels, Paris.
