About Me

Yesterday is history
Tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift 💚

I'm originally from France, but travelling the world as a Low-Cost Traveler since 2007 😃

I've spent more than 10 years meeting the most interesting people at the most unexpected moments, through hitchhiking, couchsurfing or simply by approaching locals! In the meantime, I'm working as a freelance travel planner to help people to discover our beautiful planet 😊 (https://spicy-world.com)

Happiness is extremely important to me. I'm happy in life and consider myself as a happy soul, the most important goal for me to achieve!

I'm a very simple, easy going, open-minded and respectful person! I try to share as much of my happiness and philosophy on life as I can. I love when I meet someone with whom I can have interesting and deep conversations.

Taking care of the planet is extremely important to me, and I try my best to minimize by footprint by cutting down plastic consumption. I'm in love with nature, mountains, and THE SKY!!! I could stay up for hours watching it, especially at night.

I enjoy wild camping, cooking/eating, hiking, sharing, photography, and putting a smile on someone's face!

Lastly, I enjoy spending time with kids! Normally, I try to go to a school to play with them, interact and teach them something new!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The way I choose to travel means getting involve with local people to understand the culture/way of life of the country you're travelling to.. and because I love people in general 😃

❝ Find your verb
What do you want to do later? You've been asked this question for years..
And for whoever asks you, it can only be reduced to one thing: your job !
I have another question for you: what is the verb of your life? Not the job, no, the verb !
It’s the verb that will trace the different PATHS of your life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I enjoy watching movies from different countries, particularly true/real life stories and documentaries (Lion, Into the Wild, Spotlight) and I'm a big fan of Quentin Tarantino's movies!

Music 🎶: Cumbia, Latin music, Reggae and almost every kind of music from all over the world.

Books: I was never a big reader, but lately, I've been reading quite a lot of books about meditation:
✎ Eckhart Tolle: The Power of Now (A MUST READ for every single human being)
✎ Frederic Lenoir: Petit traité de vie intérieur / Mal de terre (with Hubert Reeves)
✎ Bruce Lipton: The Biology of Belief
✎ Yuval Noah Harari: Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

✔️ To live life in the present moment as much as possible which means being truly happy (the most important goal in life that we tend to forget).

✔️ Spending over a week deep inside the Amazon Rainforest - experiencing the power of Mother Nature in the densest rainforest in the world through fishing, hunting, and living in awe of the many creatures around me.

✔️ Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro - highest mountain of Africa at almost 6000 meters.

✔️ Meditation: Wim Hof Method (staying over 4mins in ice cold water at 0 degrees). The best thing I've done for my body and my mind so far.

✔️ Wild camping in front of an erupting volcano in Ecuador (totally forbidden, stupid and dangerous... but I was young 😊)

✔️ Meeting amazing souls and truly beautiful people around the globe of different ethnicities, religions, and cultures.

Teach, Learn, Share

I graduated from culinary school and have spent over 10 years working in restaurants all over the world. I enjoy cooking for others, learning about different products and sharing cultures through food. If I stay with you, we can cook together!

Language exchange: I have experience in teaching English and French, but also can teach Spanish! I love to learn new words/phrases in different languages and would be happy to share new words or language practice with you!

I travel with a professional camera and have experience in editing photos, website development, social media management and communications.

What I Can Share with Hosts
