About Me
This summer, I will be backpacking through Eastern and Central Europe! And I would love to meet locals and other travelers along the way :)
My regular life is in Southern Sweden where I have worked as a psychologist for about five years. Right now, though, I’m in between jobs. So I’m seizing this opportunity to hit the road :) Also, I will try to make a podcast about it all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Some of my best travel experiences have been through Couchsurfing. And it’s not even the big adventures I’m talking about, it’s the little things. Like sharing a meal at someone’s house, or meeting up with a group of travelers at an event. For me, it’s all about the people and the connections we make.
What's more, traveling is expensive, and I think it’s a beautiful way to support fellow travelers by making it a little less so.
Interests
I love listening to podcasts. They have become my main source of information. I've even tried to start
one of my own, with mixed results :) This summer, though, I feel like the stars are aligned and I will try to make a podcast about my trip and the people I meet.
Yoga: I started doing yoga just a couple of months ago to try and relieve some minor aches in the body and inflexibility in general. And it has really worked! To the point where I'm now bringing a yoga mat on this backpacking trip :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: my taste in music is a big tent :) but just to give you an idea: I'm going to a Bon Iver concert on June 14...
Books: I’m proud to say that I'm actually reading a book right now :) it’s “Being the Change”, a practical and spiritual handbook on how to reduce one's carbon footprint.
Podcasts: My favorite podcasts combine investigative journalism and comedy. An example of that? "Headlong: Running from Cops"
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good company! and stories about life in Scandinavia, over a cold beer or a hot cup of tea.
Also, I’m a decent cook :)
