About Me

I'm from Munich in Germany🇩🇪 and am staying at the beautiful island of Okinawa in Japan for working holiday since July 2018.

And this summer I'll be going to travel INDONESIA for the first time!

My trip in Indonesia will be from July 22nd to August 20th.

Stopps will be:
1. Denpasar, Bali (July 22nd - August 3rd)
2. Jakarta (August 3rd - August 5th)
3. Pontianak (August 5th - August 12th)
4. Yogyakarta (August 12th - August 18th)
5. Singapore (August 18th - August 20th)

If you can host me or meet up to explore together please let me know!:)

I speak Japanese and English somewhat fluently and German is my mother tongue. I'll be glad if you teach me some Indonesian.

On this trip I want to learn surfing 🏄, see the amazing nature of Indonesia 🗻 (volcanoes and waterfalls) and go to beach parties 🌴! Oh and try delicious indonesian foods 🍝🍗 (preferably spicy 🔥😜)

If you wanna join me in any of this or give me advice, please contact me;-)

I'm a really relaxed, peaceful and respectful person. Japanese manners must have rubbed off onto me🇯🇵🙇😂

So you don't need to worry that I'll leave your place in a mess if I happen to stay there!🙌😉

I'm very curious to get to know Indonesian people and their culture! And besides I'm here for fun and a great vacation!☺

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

JAPAN was the first country I had a real couchsurfing experience. I was studying at a university in Tokyo and was low on money during spring break, so I decided to couchsurf.

I TRULY met some amazing open minded and funny people! We're still friends until today and we're hanging out whenever I'm in Japan.

Music, Movies, and Books

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN - there's no doubt he's the boss.

THE ROLLING STONES - Mick Jagger has always been living life on the edge, incredible and inspiring person.

THE CROMAGNONS (ザ・クロマニヨンズ) - Komoto Hiroto (甲本ヒロト) was already fucking cool with THE BLUE HEARTS

KRAFTKLUB - awesome newcomer group from Chemnitz in Germany that not only combine Rap and Punkrock, but also have a very cool "punk attitude" (just giving a shit what other people think about them and adressing the most essential problems of todays german society).

and many more...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I stayed with a Shingon priest at his temple in Tokyo and learned a lot about the life of a priest and his family. It was a really amazing experience for me; I did things like 座禅 (sitting meditation ) and 書道 (calligraphy) with him. Talking with him about Nanking and how they don't teach about this dark chapter of Japanese history in school was really shocking but interesting to me.
On the other hand I think there's a lot prejiduce against Japanese, being ignorant of their aggressive role in WW2. But he as well as many Japanese I met so far actually are aware of it and want to make a change and improve the relationship to the neighbouring countries in Asia.
I'm convinced, being more open minded and not accepting unquestioned what news and history books teach us, but talking and communicating with each other more is the key for a better world.
