with the world being a big place, and people coming in such variety, I try to keep an open-minded approach to everything. while I'll never be a fine arts connaisseur ;), there is a lot of stuff out there which is worth at least trying out once - next on the list is probably free climbing, or playing in a band (can't be more embarrassing than karaoke, I reckon?)

music: Dire Straits, Pet Shop Boys, Robbie Williams (solo)... to name just a few
books: Jack Vance, Iain M Banks (both SciFi, and, regrettably, recently deceased)
movies: hmmm... I like the epic Ridley Scott movies Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven (director's cut only)... Clint Eastwood also comes to mind, both as actor and as a director...
