Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learning French and understanding the universe
ABOUT ME
I'm open-minded with various interests. After highschool I moved to Berlin where I studied physics and loved this city. I also studied in Canada, worked six month as a math tutor in Senegal and interned for three months in a public policy think tank. In the end, I returned to physics and currently I'm doing my PhD in quantum gravity at PennState, a few hours west from New York City.
PHILOSOPHY
Experiences are the greatest treasures we can have and my goal is to gain at least one positive experience per day.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I offered a couch when I was living in Berlin last year and I'm planning to continue after returning from my Europe trip this september (2014).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't couchsurfed yet, but I had some great experiences when I stayed in Paris in 2007 where I was traveling with a group and we got invited by French couple to stay five nights at their place. Also when I travelled through Senegal, I experienced wonderful hospitality.
Interests
I like watching movies, reading books, visiting theater plays.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like Umberto Eco (Italian symbolist and famous book writer, e. g. Name of roses) and classical music (for instance Handel). I don't watch TV, but I love going to Cinemas, in particular small ones showing independent productions. However, I recently got addicted to Game of Thrones (TV show and the books).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've had some amazing trips through Europe, Canada, USA and Westafrica. My most amazing trip was one week in Senegal after I worked there for six month.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach German, maths and physics or share the perspective of a German mathematical physicist. If you don't like any of these, you might still like me and I'm excited to convince you that all of them can be pretty exciting. However, I also like to learn more about philosophy, history and different cultures.
