About Me

I am a 21 year old student currently living in Nancy. While being Italian, i lived one year in the USA, and two in France, where I currently am.
I love travelling, and that is where most of my free time and money go: in the past two years i did a long trip in Eastern Europe (from Poland to Estonia), and a month-long trip in Iran (in July... so damn hot). I am planning to go see my girlfriend, who studies in South America, so that will be my next travel.

A few years back, I used to love cyclo-turism and sleeping in tents: when I was 17 i went from my hometown of Turin to Berlin and back with my older brother, and one year later i went from Turin to Budapest and back through Vienna and the Alps.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I recently found out, thanks to my girlfriend, that this exists, and it is in a similar spirit to something i know and appreciate, Blablacar (covoiturage pour les français). I experienced first hand the niceness of some people, being at home of an Iranian couple for several days (not couchsurfing-related, but the spirit was the same), and giving something back would be nice.

It is a new and interesting way for getting to know new people, residents in the place I am travelling to. As the primary goal of my travels is meeting new people and new cultures, it sounds like an interesting idea.

Also, I'm broke, because I always travel more than I could afford. While I never had particular problems sleeping in tents/train stations, being someone once in a while would be fantastic.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like classical music, the Beatles and american folk music (everything sang with a redneck accent from the 1950s to the 1970s really).

My favourite book of all times is Hermann Hesse's Siddhartha, for which he even won a nobel prize (i think), you should totally read it.
I also enjoyed Shantaram, by gregory david roberts.
I also enjoy A Song of Ice and Fire, the book series by George R R Martin, from which the show A game of thrones is adapted.
Also, most fantasy books such as The Lord of the rings.

Due to my studies I read lots of articles about current geopolitical events.
