Overview
About Me
I’m a professional engineer bitten by travel bug who has visited over 17 countries so far as a solo backpacker while staying in hostels / with couch surfing hosts / airbnb hosts and mingling with other backpackers from almost everywhere. Obviously, I work, so I don't really get too much time to travel but I still manage! :D
I'm really curious to know anything and open-minded. I like to listen and observe, to laugh and make laugh. Sometimes I'm serious, sometimes I'm a bit crazy.
IMPORTANT NOTES FOR SURFERS:
(1) I usually do not prefer to host during weekdays (Monday-Thursday). I also usually do not prefer to host more than 2-3 nights.
(2) If you are sending me request as a "backup" host, please let me know that in your request itself! That way, I will not unnecessarily outright reject other surfer's requests who is looking to stay during the same time as you are and instead, I can ask them to wait for my final word until I hear back from you. That sounds fair for everyone, right?
(3) I work 8am-6pm during weekdays (Monday-Friday). Therefore, I won't be around to show you the city. However, I can provide you all the information you need and all the places you should visit in and around Dublin, so that you can be independent and explore the city by yourself during day. In the evening, if you are already not tired, I can show you around and / or we can go to nearby pubs to celebrate or have a home-cooking session ourselves! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's the best way to meet new people and because want to help young backpackers on tight budget, after having experienced solo backpacking on tight budget myself.
I want to expand my helping hand and host some backpackers who are visiting Dublin. I live very near from the City Centre, literally at 10-15 minutes walk to City Centre which should be a good location to stay in Dublin for any visitor.
This way not only I will be able to help young travelers who are often tight on budget (which I know from personal experience of being a solo backpacker) but also stay in touch with backpacking world. I will also be able to hear great travel stories and be inspired by them, which will encourage me not only to travel more but also in my life in some form. Most important of all, I will be able to make great friends along the way, some of whom will hopefully last for my entire lifetime! :)
