About Me

I come from a small region in Southern Italy. I'm currently studying Artificial Intelligence in Utrecht. Before I studied in Copenhagen and Pisa. I love living in an international environment, I think it's a great way to meet open minded people and to grow discovering new and different cultures.

I love travelling but I'm usually out of time so what I do mostly is planning new trips that I will probably never have the possibility to do, but what can you do?

My dream is to find a job where I don't have to show up at the office so that I can work from wherever I want!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think this is a great way to let people travel around more easily. I have an impulsive fondness for travellers and I would love to host them in my home, sadly I can't in my current room, but I hope to be able to change this soon!

Interests

Enjoying the good weather, going into parks or some riverside, listening to music, reading, playing bass guitar, cooking, wasting my days re-watching episodes from Friends or How I met your mother, enjoying beer with friends, walking around the city with no direction, taking picture with my toy analogue camera, going to live concerts as often as possible, volunteering in political social centres, organising concerts, dumpster-diving and all that relates to it

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
If I had to name one genre that is the one I love the most then that would be punk, from Joy Division to Minutemen to every small unknown band that I see live. I like a lot of alternative rock too, from noise to indie (Indie pop too when I want to feel like a teenager in love! :D ). I also have my great folk moments, especially with Bob Dylan.
I find also the time for Jazz, Blues and classical music when I feel like...
But yeah I could start talking about music and never stop!

MOVIES
Some of my favourite movies are: Pierrot le fou by Godard, Der Himmel uber Berlin by Wenders, Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind by Gondry, Only lovers left alive by Jarmusch, Sunrise by Murnau ...
I usually try to watch as less big Hollywood movies as possible, I like movies that can tell you something or simply leave you struck by their pure beauty...

BOOKS
It's hard to name my favourite books, I kind of love all of them for the emotions, the thoughts they inspire me....A book that first injected in my body the wanderlust was definitely On the road by Kerouac.
Anyway I usually read classics, some of my favourite authors beside Kerouac are: Hemingway, Proust, Kafka, Calvino, Nooteboom...
I think that reading is one of the most important things to do in life and I always feel guilty for not reading enough and I don't know if I'll have time to read all the books that I want to read!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Does Riding a bicycle on a highway in Copenhagen count? :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

In my experiences abroad I've learned that a lot of people go crazy for the Italian cuisine. I really enjoy cooking and I would be more than happy to cook some of the famous Italian dishes for my hosts!
