ABOUT ME

I am definitely an outgoing person, because of how eager I am to hear other people's stories, and learn from them. This is probably my main characteristic: I am in a continuous search of self-improvement, and I know that anybody can have something valuable to teach. I am definitely curious, which makes me interested in a very broad range of subjects.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I am thoroughly convinced that the CouchSurfing project has the potential to make a big difference. Having a home and welcoming friends is the ultimate form of voluntary cosmopolitanism, it can motivate people to care for any place as if it was "their own backyard".

Centres d'intérêt

I have many interests: naturally, one is travelling, meeting new people and seeing new places. I love sports, in particular sailing, scuba diving, spear fishing, surfing. I am also very interested in politics and philosophy, but in general, there are very few subjects which don't interest me at all.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Music: I like almost any type of music: from house music to jazz, from progressive to blues, from bachata to tango... A few random favorites are: Deadmau5, Daft Punk, Parov Stelar, Caravan Palace, Gotan Project, Ebo Taylor, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Queen, Ludovico Einaudi, Yann Tiersen, Fabrizio de André, Luciano Pavarotti, Bach.
Movies: My favorites list regards those movies that actually inspired me or taught me something, as Dead Poets Society, The Bucket List, Scent of a Woman, Good Morning Vietnam, A Shawshank Redemption, La Vita è Bella, Finding Forrester, Blood Diamond and many others. I also enjoy great cinema as Stanley Kubrick's, classics as The Godfather trilogy, Martin Scorsese's movies and Christopher Nolan's trilogy, and The Lord of the Rings. I'm recently starting to grow a certain disdain for american remakes of beautiful italian and "foreign" movies such as Stanno Tutti Bene (1990), converted in typical predictable-style Everybody's Fine. Funny enough though, one of these movies is listed above amongst my favourites: Scent of a Woman, remake of Risi's great Profumo di Donna (1974).
Books: I read many reports on topics I'm interested in; fewer books. Pirandello is my favourite author.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

One of the best things I have ever done is probably having scooted from my home town to Napoli with a 125cc scooter, obliged to avoid all highways and using secondary roads, with no GPS... when I was 17! I slept in Piombino and Roma before getting to my destination. What made it so great was how each and every moment of my journey was so different and new, living such a broad range of experiences in such a small amount of time.
Also, one week of the Camino de Santiago, and two weeks in Bangladesh during Eid with one of my very good friends' local family in their beautiful village.
