About Me

Very simple person who enjoys to meet and learn new things, new cultures and new ways of seeing life. I just finished school a couple years ago, and I am wanting to travel a little before I start my PhD program. I speak English, Spanish and want to learn at least two more languages, Japanese and French.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One because it is a good way to know other people and be able to provide just as other people provide a place for travelers. I think this is a great opportunity to enjoy other cultures without going to those countries and to know how people like ourselves adventure themselves into different countries...

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music, from heavy metal to a simple violin playing solo. For movies, I like historian movies, psychological movies, for example, Babel, Lost in Translation. I really enjoy Sci fi movies.... For books, I have an arsenal of what I love reading, from psychology to simple poems. All Latin American writers like Cortazar, Borges, Saers, Aira, Bolaños, Marquez, etc, etc.. French like Foucault, Sartre, Proust, Lacan, Camus, Voltaire, Molliere, Verne, etc, etc.. Spanish like Cervantes, Lorca, Galdos, Gongora, Lope de Vega, Cela, etc, etc... And a bunch of other writers...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have saved people's lives; I remember when I was younger and little nephew did see that he was getting into a deep river, and from one minute to the other, he was losing his breath... He was drowning. It has been about ten years, and now my nephew still remembers that day when he almost lost his life...

Teach, Learn, Share

I have taught English and Spanish for some time in a library, and I have also assisted elderly people to learn how to type, print and talk to other people through the computer. I have learned that life should be lived very simple and kindly. I have shared my experiences, my life and my kindness with others. Be positive and keep things calm when others rush...

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, I can assist when hosted with house shores, cooking, teaching either English or Spanish. I am a bartender, so I can prepare drinks if needed. I can fix bicycles, write poetry... Anything I can do for the host...
