About Me
Hi, I'm Luis!
I'm 23 years old, and I'm a contemporary/modern dancer.
What to say... I like to cook (I'm a vegetarian, occasionally attempt to go vegan, buuut yeah...), I like to read, love to make people laugh (mostly at my own expense), aaaand like to discover new places, people, cultures and languages.
Growing up I did some martial arts, gymnastics and athletics.
I don't smoke or do drugs, I'm not big on partying, buuuut I do like to drink every once in a while.
I'm a funny flexible alcoholic, that's basically it, pleasure to make your acquaintance.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to meet new people and I often have to go to different countries for auditions, so I'm seeing this as an opportunity to meet people during my travels in my pursuit of getting a new job in a dance company!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Adele, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Gavin James, Sia, yeah you get the drill... But I also like classical music because, well, you don't go through years of ballet classes without appreciating some classical music. Then I also like some other instrumental stuff like Ólafur Arnalds, Ludovico Einaudi, Hans Zimmer, Max Richter, etc.
Movies: Basically anything that makes you think, laugh or cry!
Books: The Lorien Legacies, The Inheritance Cycle, Harry Potter series, Ender's Game, The Fault in Our Stars, Animal Farm.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
6 flic flacs into a backflip, blindfolded.
(does that count?)
Teach, Learn, Share
Errrr, I can teach you some Portuguese, or some ballet, hahaha.
I'm mostly an open book, willing to share my stories and experiences and learn about the experiences of others.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Laughs, drinks, high-5's and possibly some deep philosophical conversations! I can teach you about Portuguese language and culture, the basics of ballet or modern dance, and how to roll on the floor professionally. Yes, that's a thing!
If I take a lil' trip to the supermarket, my specialty in the kitchen is a pesto pasta, unless you're Italian, in which case the chances are that you'll hate me. Sorry! I can also make other stuff, but it usually involves pasta, so again, apologies to the Italians for doing it wrong. :D
