Hey! My name's Luis and I'm 29 years old. I currently live in Central Florida but hope to relocate to Texas this year. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies
with a concentration in Behavioral and Social Sciences and Public Affairs.

I began working for an organization called The Central Florida Dreamplex in the summer of 2018. Dreamplex is a center for fitness and recreation designed specifically for families with special needs. The facility blends alternative therapy, adaptive sports, recreation activities, and group fitness classes into one location to serve the wellness needs of the individual. I currently instruct the program's non-contact boxing class for children with physical and/or developmental disabilities. My experience there has inspired me to transition from exercise therapy to behavioral therapy to help the individuals address challenging behavior and develop the appropriate skills to maximize his or her potential. I want pursue a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've done the Airbnb thing a ton! I have had great experiences getting to stay at a person's place instead of a hotel. But I haven't had much contact with the hosts. Now that I will be traveling to visit schools that I am interested in I thought it would be a good opportunity to crash at a local's place and get to talk with them about their likes and dislikes about their community and get a better perspective as to where I will be moving to!
