Overview
About Me
My name is Luisa Flores and I am studying Computer Science. I am passionate about learning anything that I can get my hands at. I enjoy playing basketball, painting, and problem solving. I am involved in various technological projects that look to solve different social problems found in my community. Which is why I love open source software because I believe it is a great opportunity to build a better tomorrow. I enjoy building community and getting to know different cultures and ways of thinking to understand other realities.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing mainly because I love travelling and travelers. I believe this platform is a great way to get to know people who actually live in the city to be explored, and thus discover the place through different eyes. It is also a way to form a new community, build new relationships and share ideas and experiences. I am fascinated by travelers because they are full of incredible stories and a spirit of curiosity.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite music is formed by different songs that talk about the roots of different cultures, mainly latin rhythms. It goes from Mexican Northern music to cuban rhythms. I also love music that is accompanied by beautiful lyrics.
My favorite book right now is Anna Karenina because I love the way the author builds the story and makes the reader see what he sees.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am participating in an investigatory laboratory that works on making social media analysis that occurs after different political and/or social events, such as the American and Mexican elections.
I am also part of a team building a web-page that will help and inform women involved in domestic violence.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach non-programmers logical skills to start their way into programming. I could also contribute and talk about Mexican culture, its beauty and its hardship.
I would like to learn about the culture in other countries. ¿What is your favorite book written by an author of your nationality? ¿What is your favorite place in your city? ¿Why?
I am willing to share experiences, stories and a great spirit.
