About Me
Hi, it's Luisa!
Now, hardest part of all: talking about myself. Well, I'm Italian, currently living in Milan, where my University is. I'm studying Civil Engineering, even if the more I see numbers, the more I look for art, creativity, music and Nature: I think these are the things that make the world beautiful and amazing. Beauty in all its forms, that's what I love.
I'm more a listener than a talker: listening allows to truly see people, something I can't stand is shallowness. There's always something special in everyone, something that makes you unique, in your own particular way of being - this is what I look for. Differences are the greatest creation of all, and travelling is to me an opportunity to continually meet change - I try to do it as much as I can, I've never have enough of it.
I'm one of those who start without finishing: I always have some sort of project going on - today it's painting, tomorrow it's writing and yesterday I don't know. It's not a virtue of mine, but it makes me feel challenged everyday, I never get bored and I can do a little bit of everything.
The only things that's saved from this "rush for the new" is photography: I can't leave home without a camera. I find it magical to be able to freeze a moment, a detail in this continually changing world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a great opportunity to meet people coming from all over the world, and to create a sharing and exchange human-net.
Moreover, the best way to understand a new country is living inside it!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: mainly depending on my mood, Manu Chao & Mano Negra, Eddie Vedder, Bob Marley, Jeff Buckley, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Chavela Vargas, Arctic Monkeys, Tame Impala (and on, and on, and on).
Movies: these are really too many. I'll just say I have a list of movies I've watched and that I'm currently trying to complete Almodovar's filmography.
Books: again, too many. But I can say that my favourite authors are Oscar Wilde and José Saramago.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While in Canada, Newfoundland, I kissed a cod - dead cod (three times, let's say, cause they couldn't take a "nice" picture neither the first nor the second time...). Something both to remember and forget
Teach, Learn, Share
I can (quite) play the guitar.
I love sharing my culture but also learn about the others, especially some words in a new language (I'm in love with the untranslatable words and phrases).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd gladly share Italian recipes, and nice pictures with my beloved instant camera :)
A quick, intense course on Italian gesture.
Once back, I'd be happy to keep in touch!
