About Me

Hi there!

I’m Luis. Years ago, I began moving around, first between different cities in Spain and later across Europe, gradually trying to figure out where I might feel most at home (if such a place exists).

I enjoy meeting people, hearing their stories, and learning how they see the world. I believe there is something inspiring about discovering what makes others tick. I’ve always had a soft spot for folk music, and I love a good conversation (whether it’s about life, philosophy, or just a bit of shared storytelling over a cuppa). I also enjoy playing guitar, hiking, and exploring new places whenever I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

I always enjoy good books, good films and good music (too hard to make a list).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

– In 2003, I spent a summer working as a puppet in an amusement park in Salou.

– In May 2010, I cycled across the Netherlands on an old “granny bike” no fancy gear, just my everyday clothes. It felt more like I was heading to the park than crossing a whole country. I had no money, so I stayed with strangers and cooked meals in exchange for a roof over my head.

– In November 2016, I walked nearly a thousand miles (980, to be precise) from the south of France through the northern mountains of Spain, all the way to Fisterra by following the quietest of the Camino de Santiago routes: the Northern Way. Not for religious reasons, just for the sake of disconnection… or connection, depending on how you look at it. I deliberately chose a time of year when hardly anyone walks it (late autumn into winter) to spend more time in solitude. It was peaceful and deeply grounding, though I can’t say it wasn’t cold or steep at times!

– In 2018, Annie (my partner) and I set off on a year-long trip through Scandinavia, volunteering on farms and in country houses. We hitchhiked from the Arctic Circle all the way down to the south, backpacks and all.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make nice home videos and cook (also nicely).
