About Me

I have the memory of fish, the attention span of a squirrel and the pacing of a turtle... yep, doesn't seem like a possible combination but nature blessed me with the gift of contrast - I did the rest.

I do the best I can to stay attached to a system but always on the margin. I like concepts, patterns, and circles. If we get to meet, I'll explain you how they are connected.

I don't like goodbyes, because nowadays, it's pretty hard to loose connection with anyone... So really, saying goodbye is either protocol, or you're to tell the other person you had enough. :-P (Seriously - I don't see the point.)

I believe in the future, and that human beings are intrinsically good. Most of the work is about unlearning bad habits and letting go of fear. I try to that everyday, to the best of my abilities.

I also love learning. Whatever. And alliterations. I like alliterations. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because in a perfect world, we'd feel at home no matter where, isn't it? When you think of it...

I put up this profile because after travelling quite a lot, and feeling guilty for not being enough interested in history and architecture I realised that what I always missed was some connection to the life people ACTUALLY live in the places I visited.

I came to learn that 'tradition' is really something you create when it already disappeared, because if it REALLY is tradition, then you would just do it without realising. That's what I want to discover, every place I go. The things everybody does without knowing why. For that I need to meet people. See what they see. Go where they go (or tell me to go). That's CouchSurfing, no?

Music, Movies, and Books

My boyfriend's music is my favourite.
Really.

And electrofunk. I love that.

And 80's. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Staying alive.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach anything I know.
I can learn anything someone wants to teach me.
I can share what I have to share.

I love learning. And I love teaching.
(I am teacher by training for g_d's sake!)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Gosh! What a difficult question!

life experiences, childhood memories, adventures, perception of my own culture (Portugal) and the place I live (Belgium), my hopes and dreams for the future, my fears, what I want to be when I grow up, my sense of humour, my compassion, my willingness to help (and clean the toilet), my gratitude...

Is this a trick question?

I share myself... I can share myself.
