About Me
Hii girls
I am Felipe, but you can call me Pisci. I am what we call "BIXA" in Brazil, which is pejorative to the hetero, but not for most of us. I was born on the periphery of São Paulo, Brazil and I have always been exposed to violence and lack of expectations. But, in a glimpse of democracy, millions of people like me had had a chance to access the public university (that are the best and most recognized here), best conditions of consumption and quality of life, and finally a chance to dream and be whatever we wanted to be.
That political moment led me to the place I am. I am a researcher, Master's degree in Social Anthropology, where I research the process of criminalizing VIH transmission in Brazil. I am also an activist for Human Rights, specifically the social movement of AIDS and member of the political articulation of a host network for young VIH + in São Paulo.
As you can see, I had to shape my life to fight for freedom, for human rights and democracy. Yet it is not a novelty to the people from countries that have been colonized. But this process was interrupted by another Coup d'État in Brazil.
And once more we resist, and surch for other experiences, alliances and, above all, for inspiration.
I am returning for Couchsurfing after a few years without traveling this way for a couple of reasons.
First of them is because I do need to breathe new ares. And it undoubtedly includes meeting people, seeing people! My god, matrix has got me and I just need sun, a joint and an nice meetings.
The second reason is a political one. In July, I will be in Amsterdam for the 22ª International Conference in VIH to present the work I have been engaged with, and also to denounce the human rights violations in Brazil, specially concerning the aids epidemic. However, even though I will be presenting a paper, I did not get the full conference scholarship, so I do need help with hosting.
I have done a crowdfunding to help me with this conference, which is really important to me. I am an VIH gay person and I fight for dignity. And to be on this conference (and have the opportunity to present everything we have built) means a lot to me and to my community.
But he money I have saved so far is enough for food and transportation, only, so I do need someone's help.
Besides that "business" part, I am a very lively and smiling person, but not stupid, please. I'll be clichê and tell you I would adore if I met someone nice to smoke a blue joint with me (dream of people from countries who insist on the drug war).
And that's a bit about me. I hope I may have a chance to meet great people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Usually, I use the Couch to be able to connect more and better with people when I have the chance to travel.
Interests
I'm interested in meeting new people and places. Expanding contacts, people..., possibilities! Deconstructing myself to rebuild better and new horizons. In search of happiness, knowledge and a chance to rescue the possibilities of dreaming.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I do everything I can to avoid creating a utilitarian relationship. Then, I can contribute with food, with cleaning, by telling stories about the adventure of living in a colonized country or whatever we want to do or talk about ^^
