Overview
About Me
After working as a lawyer for seven years, I quit my job at 29 to pursue new ventures.
At 30 I started traveling and never stopped.
Since then I've traveled all over Latin America, lived in NY, worked on marijuana farms in California, spent a season in Miami and lived in Hawaii for 3 months.
Last year I traveled alone in India for 45 days and then visited a few places in Europe.
Now I'm going to do the Camino de Santiago de Compostela in May and after that I have not made many plans.
I like experiencing myself in every place. I used to travel to visit places, but now I travel for the experiences I want to have, rather than for the sights I can see.
I started working as a translator in 2020. I translate into English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. My favorite things to translate are TV shows and movies.
Traveling has not only opened doors for me, it has opened my mind, given me more freedom and autonomy over my choices.
I'm not an influencer but I like to share my experiences on social media.
I'm always ready for a good conversation. I love deep topics about life, self-knowledge and anything else I can exchange and learn from.
As a good Brazilian, I don't deny a party, but I also value moments of solitude. I love to read and write, but you can call me for a beer and I'll go.
I'm an eternal metamorphosis, so don't expect to meet me again and see the same Luiza from a first date, lol. And this is the part of my journey that I love the most.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I first started hosting in CS. I welcomed people from all over the world, new travelers and experienced travelers. Each person who passed through my house made me want to see more of the world and showed me all the great exchanges and interesting people there are out there. When I started traveling, I alternated between volunteering and CS, and so far I've never had a bad experience. In fact, I still keep in touch with some of my hosts until today.
I love the philosophy of CS, and soon when I settle down again I want to welcome travelers again. After all, the law of the traveler is to give back everything we receive along the way!
