Overview
About Me
Spontaneity, child-like enthusiasm, and honesty are some of my core characteristics, I would say. Recently, I discovered a new passion for climbing and I enjoy long distance running. I am always longing to see some untouched nature, like the Atlas mountains in Morocco, the Himalaya or the mountains of Romania.
Since I traveled and lived abroad a lot, currently I do not feel the need for long distance travelling and rather enjoy regions in my proximity. Somehow, I have not even seen much of my own country Germany so far.
Overall, I would say I am rather calm and very curious. Also, I am really into card and bord games, cooking and climate change.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
If you g to a new place you will not really know it without having contact with locals. Both because a place without its people will never really reveal it uniquenesses but also because it takes time to get to know a city. That is why I love to be guided by someone who really knows the place I am visiting. But I am also happy to just wander around and follow my gut feeling.
Interests
Absolutely love board games! But on a more serious level, I am very much interested in solutions for climate change and I am also active in various organizations around the topic.
Recently, I discovered that climbing is a perfect sport and might get very much addicted to it soon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One year of my life, I spend in an Indian village working for an Indian NGO. During this year I among others experienced the strongest flood/monsoon in 100 years. There I learned a lot about accepting, being where I am, bring open minded and respectful for a very different culture.
