Hi! I am Lu, an Argentine with Spanish and Croatian background.
I love hanging out with people from different places to share our cultures :) I traveled on my own for the first time at 18, moved abroad at 24 and lived in New Zealand, Australia, Spain, Germany, and a bit in England and the Netherlands, which all really opened my mind. I love chilling by the beach with a good book, getting lost in cities, wandering in forests, listening to podcasts, and I rock the dancefloor from time to time ;)
I was an English teacher for many years and loved it as I've met heaps of amazingly interesting people through it, but I switched to the translation industry a couple of years ago because I needed a new challenge, so I am now a copy editor and project manager for translations related to clinical research. Veeery different and am learning a lot too!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to continue meeting people from different backgrounds.
I believe CS is a great way to socialise with people you might have not met otherwise, and it's fantastic to see a new place through the eyes and culture of a local person!

Interests

Reading, traveling, writing, listening to podcasts, watching films, hiking, sharing some drinks and meals with friends, going to concerts, learning about other cultures, experiencing new things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have skydived and bungy jumped a couple of times and love everything involving speed. If I could choose a superpower, flying would definitely be at the top of my list.
I was also shooting champion in Argentina 4 years in a row (from 12 to 15 years old :)) with my .22 carabine - I only shot olympic targets, never animals or people :D
