About Me

Hello there! My name is Luka, a 25-year-old female originally from Lithuania, but studied, lived and loved in England, Australia and India for the last six years.
I am a mature, open-minded, fun and easy going as much as respectful, caring and loving young adult, who is starting a support workers job just before new years in Edinburgh. Last few months, after coming back from a life time trip in Hawaii, I have spent in London.
I love peace of mind and quiet reflection as much as I enjoy spending time connecting and sharing with people, thus no matter how multicultural, interesting and amazing London was, I knew straight away that for a long-term living I will much rather choose Edinburgh as a place to be.
I am very moved by and interested in psychology, mindfulness, conscious living, human’s evolution, different types of art, I am in love with music, culture, connecting and learning with people, exploring and experiencing world and myself as well as others. I love hiking, feel deep aprreciation for nature, as well as discussions and actions towards a cleaner and healthier earth, I love drawing it as well as writing loads of relevant and irrelevant stuff in my notebooks.
As a spring chicken I have studied landscape architecture in Leeds metropolitan university, UK. This experience opened doors to travelling- I have gone on an exchange program to Melbourne and at the same time it opened doors to awakening to life a little bit more. (Long way to go, haha☺) Also, it started forming my current interests and adjusted my career choices. I am highly motivated and moved by a good cause, thus at this moment I am going to be working as a support worker for an autistic boy, but my further vision would be to train myself and get more knowledge, qualifications and practice in a field of mindfulness and conscious living. And spread all these great things as far as it can reach to people of all ages.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing, because sadly I do not know any people living in Edinburgh at the moment and my support workers job starts right before New Years. At the moment I am celebrating Christmas with my family back home, but to get to know and settle in Edinburgh, it will take a little bit of time. I have booked hostels right before new years and straight after the New years, but the period of New Years is haha, reaaaalllyyyy out of my pocket.

I would be so happy and grateful if there was a person, who would be willing to help me with accommodation for three nights, starting from 30th of Decemeber. Maybe you would like to know a new person for the night of a new years! Some good deeds for the end of a year of 2016 and a great beginning of 2017, which would start not only with new years resolutions, but actual good -hearted action.
