About Me

I'm a free spirit, slow-traveler, explorer of internal and external universe, budget backpacker.
In December 2021 I quit my job, decluttered, sold and donated most of my stuff, bought a back-pack and left my beautiful home country Slovenia.

During my travels I did a lot of meditation and yoga and I'm on the path to become a mindfulness teacher. I still engage in other projects simultaneously, one of them being an NGO that connects travelers with local schools and offer short-term volunteering, immersion in local communities, motivating young minds and spreading awareness about important environmental and social topics. Another hobby I have is DJing; for Ecstatic Dance or club venues . Another project during my travels was interviewing interesting and spiritual people about important life topics.

For me life is all about inner peace and exploration and expansion in all directions. I love exploring human cosciousness through the power of now, other cultures and different ways of life, and of course nature. I'm not into alcohol anymore, but I'm still into parties with good music or hanging out.
I am mostly plant based and in love with deep immersions in nature, whether in the ocean, forest, dunes, or mountains. Long walks, hikes, adventure sports, wild camping, etc. etc. When I travel, I like to get the real feel of how locals live. I always try to cultivate compassion and love towards all beings. Why judge, resist, or complain when one can accept and be kind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Exploring our beautiful small planet full of beautiful people should be accessible and full of friendly connections. And because meeting people from different cultures broadens one's horizons like very, very few other experiences can.
For me, it is all about exploration. All about being open-minded, non-judgmental, and most importantly, kind, warm, and loving. I feel that meeting new people offers me and my hosts/surfers an incredible opportunity for personal growth, for getting to know ourselves better and also to more clearly understand the one world we together live in. Throughout my life, I have had numerous multicultural experiences, both hosting and hanging out, and the actual couchsurfing experiences I had were already life changing, and I can not even imagine what the future will bring. I'm peacefully excited!
