Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it's an alternative community connecting people who would like to give and share beyond selfish interest. The by far best way to get to know other people and cultures! Currently, I'd especially love to get to know people who live in the moment and are a bit of a counterweight to the serious and busy life in academia.

Music: Originally coming from Punk and all forms of Rock.. Now mostly anything depending on the context.

Books: A couple of good German books but also authors like Oscar Wilde, Michel Houllebecq among others..

Movies: A lot but not all! One example are most of the movies by Lars von Trier: Nymphomaniac, Melancholia, Dogville, Antichrist..

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to cook and good food (mostly vegan) in general and nice conversations about stuff that matters in society and life (in other cultures). Preferably over some beers or some fine wine. Depends much on the people and the context though!
