About Me
Hello! My name is Lukas, I’m from Salzburg and I’m currently living in and (still) getting to know Berlin. I came here a few years back, when I started doing one year of community service at a memorial site north of Berlin, in Brandenburg.
After some detours to different places, I’m back in Berlin to study and work here. Whenever time allows it, I’m happy to – surprise, surprise – travel and get to know friendly people and new places – culturally, politically, culinarily, you name it.
Apart from traveling, I like to get to know the parts of Berlin I have not yet seen, spend days at home reading, bake some cakes, or ride my bike. In general, I’d say I’m an open-minded person who likes to think, discuss and find out about things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I guess because I noticed that boat tours with pre-recorded audio tapes which talk about a place's infinite beauty and rich history is neither sparking my interest, nor fostering anyone’s understanding.
Sharing each other’s homes and thoughts however is a very nice possibility to start seeing realities, lives, and histories we never heard or thought of before.
