About Me

My name is Lukas and - though born and raised in Southern Germany - I am an open minded nice guy (ask my friends!). I like drinking beer, looking at trains and philosophising. Besides my passion for football I started dancing Lindy Hop last year, own some basic skills in Kitesurfing, like to go playing Batminton with my flatmate from time to time and am always open for new sports. I also am into cooking and if you invite me to your flat (and dare to grant chaotic Lukas access to your kitchen) I will certainly cook for you and make the dishes ;)

I'm looking forward to meeting you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When you come to new places it's always useful to get to know some people who know the real spots! Also, I'm not rich enough to pay for a ho(s)tel every time I go somewhere.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hard to say as they change from time to time. I like listening to music a lot and am as well text-focused (that's why I like to listen to hip-hop) as beat-driven (so I basically like everything danceable, even if I'm not able to dance in the exact moment). My favourite series at the moment is "Please like me", a sitcom written and produced by Australian comedian Josh Thomas. If you don't know it, give it a chance ;) The book that made me cry the most, was "The Fault in our Stars", the book, that made me laugh the most "Die Känguru-Chroniken" (which, I think, won't ever be translated).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I finished my Bachelor Thesis lately and handed it in, I suddenly noticed I didn't have anything to do anymore. So I called some friends and kept myself busy cooking a four-course-menu for them for the rest of the day. I really liked it, they really liked it, so that was quite a good move, I guess. Don't like the question, though.

Teach, Learn, Share

Of course, I like to learn some words in other languages and am very open to teach some German. When you visit me, I'll try and show you around.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As mentioned before, if you let me, I'll cook for you ;) Apart from that, I'm willing to give anything I can to be a good guest and - hopefully - new friend.
