Born in Prague, I now live in Braunschweig and work as a mechanical engineer. Maybe because of my czech roots, I like company and long evenings with beer. Especially in summer, there´s not many things I´d like to do more than barbecue outisde with a friends. Talking of barbecue... I do love food. Good one or vintage, doesn´t matter.

When I have time, I like to travel around a bit, soon hopefully further past the borders of Europe. I worked as a language teacher before and now I like to learn languages.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My past girlfriend had to do a lot to persuade me to give it a go, but after a brief experience of couchsurfing with her, I fell for it.

I feel better in a foreign city when I have someone to talk to in the evening or someone to drink beer with. And locals show you much nicier places than guides from bookstores. And evening with locals are great to get to know the reals culture of a foreign land.

Interests

Being mechanical engineer, making cars, they´re of course also my hobby. In fact, cars often make me travel to see some exhibitions or races. I lika all cars, old, new, fast, slow, big, small... And the culture around them.

After that, my hobby no. 1 is probably cooking. ´m even often considering my own restaurant. But then again, that would probably be bigger challenge than ust cooking at home for me and few friends...

Other than that, I like to learn foreign languages, dance Lindy Hop, swim and read. I usually read abotu new technology or about history. I´m not a big sportsman, but I like to sort my thought when runnin or swimming. In winter, I enjoy snowboarding, if I have time.

Music, Movies, and Books

Well, in this respect, I being often laughed at. I like whatever comes from pop-mainstream radio. I´m often driving to work, so I´m listeing to radio there and that´s usually where aren´t adverts. Of course, when I´m chilling at home, I prefer some nice acoustic music.

Movies? Man, I do like Star Wars and other action movies, sometimes comedies. Main thing fun.

Speaking of books, I have read every boook of Jeremy Clarkson and then few book considering history of inventions. And James Bond books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
