About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Spread positive Vibes, Love and Optimism throughout the World

ABOUT ME

I guess I am mostly known as the "free bird", the "chillaxer", the "optimist", the "philosopher" and the "hippie", at least that's what my friends use to call me.

I'm a very easygoing and openminded person who likes to enjoy life and make the best out of every moment. There is a saying: "Wherever you are do what you can with what you got.", and it basically describes my way of life.

PHILOSOPHY

Why is there an urge to control everything in life? What would be your answer to the following question: "Why not just simply let loose and observe what happens?" Instead of trying to be a control-maniac just let things occur and you will soon notice that everything happens for a reason and that everything is perfect just the way it is.

Have a little bit of faith, not only in others but also in yourself.

This way you will live your life in a much calmer way, making every situation more intense, more vivid and more lifely (in a positive kind of way)!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By surfing couches and, if not overwhelmed with my studies, offering a couch to surf on. It is a give and take.

I can offer you a great time in this city, may it be by inviting you for a cup of coffe, tea, or a beer, showing you around or just by hanging out together at a cool spot!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Let's put it this way: simple, varied and positively intense.

Interests

"The core of mans' spirit comes from new experiences" - Jon Krakauer

Sports is something that fascinates me a lot, especially martial arts. I've been practicing Capoeira, a brazlian dance & martial art for over 9 years now. Just recently I started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu .... just wow!
Depending on the season there are various other activities I love doing, such as snowboarding, going for hikes, playing volleyball, rock climbing, horseback riding, ...

Last but not least: I absolutely love travelling and getting to know new people and places! It is always a treat and a life changing experience and the funny thing is, you never return the same as you left!

Still on my To-Do-List:

> Paragliding, Parachuting [check], Bungee-Jumping
> Horseback riding on an endless beach, prairie
> Climbing a 400m wall
> Slacklining (still work in progress..)
> Learn how to play the guitar, harmonica
> Roadtrip: Destination Unknown [check and doing it again!]
> Backpacking//Hitchhiking through the world and get lost! [check and doing it again!]
> Sleep out in the open under the stars [check and repeating it in summer time!]
> Travel to the North Pole
> Learn another language
>...

Wanna join? I'm eager to trying new things out.

Did you know that the famous river flowing through Berne (called Aare) is where most of Bernese people and tourists go in summer? The current is so strong that you almost don't have to "actively" swim - you can just jump in and let yourself be carried by the current. How awesome is that? There are really cool little beaches and parks (Eichholz, Marzili) on the riverbank where you can hang out and enjoy the summerish feeling. You can also raft the whole way from Thun - Bern, a 3 to 4 hours ride on the river on a rubber boat - if that isn't an awesome experience, then what is? ;)
