ABOUT ME

Hi. I'm Lukas, 19, and I live in Helsinki, Finland. I've lived here all my life. I also have US citizenship but I've never lived there.

I'm a musician (piano/keyboards mostly), so obviously I'm into music. I also like to do pretty much anything cool like taking my bike for a ride in the woods, hanging out with my friends and travelling of course ;) I'm interested in sciences, philosophy, sports, politics, visual arts, written art, nature... and the list goes on. You could say I'm a dilettante :) Sometimes I suddenly discover something interesting and become obsessed about it. I just must find out more about it or do it. This can be just about anything. It's like a hobby which lasts for a few day, months or years. I also become excited very easily.

I just graduated from high school and now I'm working during the summer. I'm going on an Interrail trip in July, travelling most of the time with a couple of friends of mine. I'm hoping to use couch surfing as much as I can and meet a lot of cool people! :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To be born in Finland. They say it's like winning a lottery to be born in Finland. I'm grateful for the standard of living, education and wealth I have been given. My life could have started out much worse.

-Make a loud whistle with your hands and a piece of grass.
-Swear in finnish (we have quite a creative selection of profanities)
-Any of the languages I speak (though my french is really rusty nowadays)
-Play any instrument I know (piano best, many others too)
