Présentation
À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
Re-adjusting to life back in the USA
ABOUT ME
At various times I've been a student, a DJ, a computer programmer, and a management consultant. Just got back from a year and a half working for a non-profit in Kenya, and getting ready to think about my options and apply for jobs.
PHILOSOPHY
Have as few fixed ideas as possible, explore as much as you can, be good to others.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Have met some great people while surfing, hope to be able to host or at least meet people for coffee now that I'm back in the States.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
During a six-month trip from Bangkok to Istanbul (2008), surfed Laura's couch in Kunming, then traveled with her to Chengdu where we stayed with CSers Jessie and Cam.
During three-week jaunt, stayed with Caspar in Berlin and Thomas in Paris.
Plus numerous coffee/drink/dinner meetings with CS folks.
Centres d'intérêt
Huge fan of electronic music, from straight-up dance music to chin-stroking arty weird stuff. Many of my friendships were formed around music and associated parties and other events. But I love a thousand styles of music: hip-hop, gamelan, minimal, Baroque, punk and jazz.
Love anything that gets my adrenaline going: cars, motorcycles, surfing, snowboarding, dancing ... or crossing the street in Bangkok.
Need new ideas more than anything, so books, blogs and especially interesting people are essential to me. Technology, economics and philosophy are enduring intellectual interests.
Oh yeah, and copious amounts of beer (usually ale) and scotch.
