Overview
About Me
Currently, I live in Munich and since 4 years I pursue my PhD at the German Aerospace Center (Hopefully it is done soon). There, my job is to process satellite pictures of Greenland and to study how the glaciers are reacting to climate change. Naturally this is an important topic to me.
I grew up with three little sisters in Bavaria in a small town near the Alps so I really like the mountains and being outside in the nature. I've done my Bachelor in Munich and finished my Master in Health Informatics in Stockholm. I really hope I stay connected to all my friends around the world that I met during this time. Perhaps they crash on my couch sometime. Well even if I'm really good at relaxing I couldn't live without doing sports. Preferably outside. I play ice hockey and climb (boulder) a lot.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can host people in our living room in Munich and I regularly check out the activities around town. Often, I'm hanging out with friends who are all happy if I bring someone along.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Not much... I'm still a beginner. But I get to know more and more interesting people.
Interests
I kinda like being active with enough relaxing phases in between.
Basically I'm up for anything outdoors. I like to hike and spending time with my friends is always a good thing. It becomes even better when I can combine it with some interest mentioned above ;)
I like to walk on a slackline, travel to remote places, playing Go (Baduk) and a lot more ... I guess it is easier to find out if we meet in person

Music, Movies, and Books
::MUSIC:: My absolute favourite band is Bloc Party ..... Indie/Alternative
::BOOKS:: Lot's of fantasy when I was younger. Nowadays I find myself to read all kinds of stuff. Still if I have to name my favourite book it's Lord of the Rings.
Teach, Learn, Share
If somebody is up for bouldering while visiting me I'm glad to teach you how it's done. Basically I could teach you all the things I mentioned above.
Although I wouldn't class myself as a good cook I enjoy cooking from time to time. Especially when I can share it with someone who never tried a traditional Bavarian dish.
