ABOUT ME

Well, to start off, I'm 20 years old, a Virgo, averageish with brown hair, eyes, and in my build. I've lived in the same place basically all of my life, and have always dreamed of traveling.

I am a massage therapist by trade, although I'm beginning to think I shouldn't tell people that, because everyone wants a free massage :) lol. I like to think of myself as a photographer, and want my own business someday. I have many passions, and would love to do lots more. I want to go to school for nutrition, and perhaps learn to teach yoga or pilates or something fun like that.

I love animals, and have had thoughts of housing lost, abanadoned, or abused animals and trying to find homes for them.

I've kind of been a little shy and quiet all my life, and I'm always a little nervous meeting new people and wondering what they are thinking (I'm a people watcher by nature). But, if I get to know you and feel comfortable around you, I come out of my shell, and I can get a little nutty (as some friends have described me). Especially late at night, those are my prime times for weirdness :)

But, I know I'm rambling, so I will stop now, and if anyone wants to know any more, you can feel free to message me or something! I'm always up for meeting and chatting with new people.

PHILOSOPHY

There is only one person who will be with you your entire life, and that is yourself. You only have one life to live, so you might as well do it right.

I'm terrified of growing up and looking back on my life with regrets thinking that I wasted it. Sometimes I feel so old, even though I'm so young. I've spent the majority of my childhood being shy and being afraid of judgement and bad experiences, that I've missed out on many, many good ones. I don't want to make those mistakes anymore.

I just found this website, and haven't traveled at all yet..! So, right now it's basically reading lots of profiles and messageboards.. and being completely lost in the chat rooms! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Sometimes when I feel a little sick or am really hot in my bedroom, I go downstairs to our leather couch and sleep on that under the fan. :P

I also had a couch in college that my friends dubbed the "sleeping couch" because whenever you laid on it, you couldn't help but fall asleep, it was that comfy!

I've visited family in Washington and Oregon and stayed with them, but never really "couchsurfed" with friends... or strangers!

Interests

I love food, and baking.. although I'm a lot better at desserts and yummy treats than actual meals. I love finding and trying out new recipes :) Fruit is my favourite thing to eat - oranges, apples (with peanut butter or muenster cheese!), bananas, kiwis, strawberries, grapes... :D ooh! And while in Greece, I discovered that I LOVE apricots!

As for hobbies, I enjoy photography + scrapbooking, finding new music, riding quads, dancing + clubbing, trying new resteraunts, bowling, skating, amusement parks, sightseeing, ... :) I'm always up for new things and experiences!!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a semi-movie buff.. I have too many favourites that they are hard to list all here. I recently fell in love with "Stardust", and "Beauty and the Beast" has been my favourite since I was little. But, I like all sorts: action/drama/thriller/suspense/comedy/romance/a little bit of sci-fi. Not gory horror films though!!

Same with music; I am obsessed with my iPod, and have the most random mix of music you might ever see :)
I have listened to almost everything, from classical orchestra to classical rock, country to pop, all sorts of hip hop and techno, and everything in between :) Right now, though, my guilty pleasure is Kate Nash.

As for books, I tend to gravitate towards the cheesy Romance novels, lol, although I'll basically read anything. I loved "The Boyelyn Inheritance", and am excited for "The Other Boyelyn" to come out in theatres! I seem to read a lot of books that shortly turn into movies :) Oh! And V.C. Andrews. Although, I can't read her too much, her books make me too emotional.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think flying to Greece on my own for my first foreign trip is pretty amazing.. for me, anyway. I have climbed up to the Temples of the Muses in Athens at night and seen the city and the Acropolis lit up... I have hiked the Byzantine Trail.. I have swam in the ocean for the first time in my life!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach... hmm, photography I'm getting better with my camera :) I also remember a killer dance I did in my high school dance team to the song "Thriller" by Michael Jackson LOL, that if you wanted to learn, I could help you out there ;) Or, maybe if you wanted to learn a yummy dish that I have memorized... do they have puppy chow anywhere else in the world? :P

I would love to learn so many things, I can't list them all. Languages, I love languages, although I'm horrible at them! I think everybody has something they could teach, and I am an avid student :)
