About Me

Music, Movies, and Books

Books -Hopelessly addicted since my first hit of 'Harry Potter' behind the middle school gymnasium (Thx JKR!)
Some Favorites:
Cloud Atlas --- "Our Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies…we cross, criss-cross and recross old tracks like figure skaters." <3 I found this book (or it found me??) in a dark hour and it lit me back up. Beautiful (The movie's not fantastic)

Count of Monte Christo - Never found a more eloquently assembled exploration of dharma. And it always makes me wanna return to Europe!

When I'm tripping on some ego BS I return to Herman Hesse's stuff and it soothes me

Dune's wisdom flows like the spice

I read giant books about economic theory for fun cause that's my thing lol. One of us has to learn Latin to figure out if the priests are lying to us amiright?

Do I still have time for Movies and television???
YES!
The German series Dark gets my vote for GOAT. I'm excited for Odar and Frise's next project 1899
Favorite Hollywood Movie is probably Children of Men
I love getting to share someone's favorite films with them so please share, nothing's auto-excluded!
A time for Art films, a time for Jackass
That's what Solomon wrote right? XD

And finally:
Muuuusssiiiiic (Did you hear it in Marvin Gaye's voice?)
Ever seen an improv enhancement of some Akon throwbacks on a Tenor Saxophone? HMU. Always Accepting donations for the Saxophone Maintenance Fund, these things are money pits.

Live music and Singing together are great, it takes me approximately three days before I'm comfortable singing around someone though (or three hours and three drinks)

PSA: Meaningwave Exists! Go check it out. Then tell someone.
(yes the JP stuff is cringe avoid that, the Alan watts stuff is amazing)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
